Feeding Disorder of Infancy or Early Childhood

This disorder involves a failure to take in enough nutrition, and a consequent failure to thrive, in the absence of an observable medical condition that could cause the problem. The onset is usually in the first year, but can be a year or two later; with age, most but not all children will improve without therapy. Many others can be helped with an educational (for the parents) and behavioral (for the infant or child) intervention. Visit a web site with lists of books and places where help for such disorders is available.
